Weekend Happenings

This was the first weekend that it’s been really hot so far this year.  Yes, we’ve been quite spoiled. Although temperatures were high, we still found some fun things to do outside.

We had a campout in the backyard to kick off the weekend. Hubby and the kids roasted marshmallows and made S’mores. We also found out #2 is quite good at making up ghost stories on the fly. I think she told 4 in a row, and we enjoyed every minute of them.

I finally got around to transplanting some seedlings I planted with #2 a few weeks back. We planted green onions, cucumbers, and a pineapple! Soon we will be transplanting some tomatoes too! We planted a little late in the season, and this is our first time, so we’ll see how it all turns out. Regardless of outcome, it was a fun project to do.

We also set up our outdoor pool; it was a lot of work, but definitely worth it. Once we were done filling it up (which took FOR-EVER), the whole family was in it, and we spent at least half the day in there.

I also created a new super simple fruit smoothie that we enjoyed. I will be posting the recipe soon.

All in all, this weekend felt pretty fabulous, and I can’t wait till the kids are out of school so we can have more days like these.

What did you do this weekend?
